Ehap training manual answers
Training programs such as Tree Care Academy lower injuries, increase productivity and save money. This is a great way to verify that OSHA and ANSI Z required training has been performed and helps to identify motivated employees, who, in turn, appreciate the investment that you are making in their futures. Tree Care Academy modules are broken down in three categories: foundation, intermediate and advanced. Employees can set a track for their career path and focus on one discipline, or they can study all the modules.
An FIS officer carries out preliminary checks and responds via email to confirm the outcome. Failure to carry out preliminary checks could result in the unnecessary completion of an EHAP for a child were one already exists. This duplicates work and undermines the transparent, multi-agency framework. All attendees will receive this publication. Training will also be provided on the equipment that makes up the electrical distribution system.
Knowing what each piece is and what it does is an important part of being safe around electrical conductors. Individuals who complete the exercises in the workbook, who receive certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation CPR methods and who also can demonstrate a basic level of skill in aerial rescue techniques are eligible to be certified as line clearance arborists.
CTPA will not be providing this additional training or testing. Companies are responsible for the EHAP certification of their employees. In fact, electricity causes about 15 percent of all fatalities in the tree care industry, making it the leading cause of worker fatalities. Since even a street lamp circuit or phone line can be energized with enough voltage to kill, almost all arborists in the field have at least some exposure to this hazard.
Tree branches and other conductive objects are an ever-present threat for the industry. All arborists must be trained to recognize and avoid these electrical hazards.
