Safety first bed rail manual

To clean the bed rail, mix one part mild soap with two parts water and blot the rail surfaces with a damp microfiber cloth or sponge. Blot again with a damp sponge and air-dry. Only install the rail on an adult bed. Never use it with infants or any child that needs help getting into a bed.

Improper installation and use can result in injuries, strangulation and suffocation. Never install or fold the bed rail with a child present. The bed rail has a mesh panel held in place with two metal and plastic side panels and arms that slide on feet between the mattress and box spring. Safety 1st designed the rail so that no tools are required for proper assembly and installation. Hold the mesh panel in front of you by its short-sided ends with the logo at the top. Push the narrow end of a support rod into the hole on the side of one of the support arm feet until the locking pin pops up.

Repeat with the other rod and foot. When finished, position the feet pointing toward you with the rods facing each other and then push the rods together until they lock. Press the lower release button near the top of one of the feet and pull up on the support arm — the area between the side panel and foot — so that you can see the hinged elbow.

Repeat this process on the other side. Push the panels to fold them down away from you at the elbows. Flip the mesh panel so that the logo faces down, but remains at the top, and then slide its sides into the grooved channels on the side panels.
