Dg834gt hacked firmware
Take care. Hi nick, They seem to work on my end however I will check and verify the things. I need one more help from you or any one from UberGT forums. I am unable to register with the forums to communicate with the guys there.
I tried registering with 2 different email ids however the activation mail never reached me. Please ask the forum admin to send me activation mail for my account id: yschandra. I've forwarded your message to Bracco. First I need to verify the nicks observation of UberGT mods are not working correctly then I will have a look.
You can watch this blog for updates. I really hope you get the UberGT mods working with the new firmware, i await the new firmware with great anticipation. Keep up the good work Hi Subhash, I've tried the new version you compiled and I seem to have a new problem. I'll let you know how I get on - hopefully it won't take two weeks this time Hi again, I've had to revert to the UberGT version by bracco 1. Flashing the Sky DGGT Router with Netgear generic Firmware This tutorial is intended for information only and you carry out any modifications entirely at your own risk on the understanding that you could cause damage to the router.
Download and extract the Netgear recovery utility to a folder on your hard drive. You will need to use this in a moment.
Download the DGGT firmware and place the image file into the same folder used in step 1. Next you will need to put the router into its flash recovery mode. To do this, unplug the power lead from the back of the router, then use a pen or similar object to press and hold the small reset switch as shown.
Plug the power cable back in whilst continuing to hold the reset switch in until the two lights on the front of the router start flashing alternately. The next screen will list the network cards present in your system. And of course, it's always possible that some hardware has gone bad. I really don't think the problem is G backward compatibility with B hardward - as said, my own Netgear at home is a G router, and my laptop has B hardware in it, and I have no problems with connection strength or quality.
The problem seems to be my mums router, or the firmware on it, or the wifi output itself. There doesn't appear to be any other wifi equipment or signals around to impact on hers, no idea about bluetooth, she does have a microwave but it wasn't on and a cordless kitchen phone that wasn't being used either That being the case your next course of action is to try another router I think.
Televisions have been known to wipe out WiFi quality in a metre radius. Conversely, I've got a wifi laptop that wipes out Freeview TV reception any time it moves. I have always found the wireless on them to be a little weak.
So much so that I changed the antenna to use a Netgear 5dbi Omni-directional Antenna. As my router is in my loft office I have this attached to my central chimney breast and it gives a perfect signal to all corners of the house.
One other observation about the DGGT routers is that they are a bit fussy about the wireless adapters connecting. However with the progression to new laptops with built in wireless and non-matching adapters a few issues have cropped up now and again.
Nothing major but they are not as solid as the matching netgear adapters. But surely they use the same type of hardware in their routers - I mean my WGT and the offending DGGT probably share the same wireless hardware, aswell as my friends WGR, and yet my and my friends , both using my laptop, have super strong signal strength and quality, and it's only the DG "Sky" router thats acting up I'm convinced it's the router, or at least the wifi hardware in the router thats faulty or similar.
If I get hold of another one for a couple pennies I might swap it out and see, but for the ammount she uses the wireless it's not really worth it I suppose Just frustrating is all. They dont share the same wireless hardware. The GT can do mbps by combining using two channels at the same time. I couldn't get satisfactory results from either of my GTs with wireless set to mbps.
Having it set to Auto mbps caused all sorts of issues. They must do - my WGT can do Mbps aswell. I think people are still missing my point You must log in or register to reply here. Similar threads K. A90J poor wifi speed. Replies 7 Views Nov 23, markc
