Mame 4 player games
I tried versions MAME 0. Google has been unable to help me on this one. Perhaps I should try an older version? Thank you for any advice you can offer. Quote from: quasar on December 20, , pm. Thank you for that tip! I'll try that with Gauntlet and others, such as tmnt and xmen.
Any idea on the overall issue of player start config options missing in 4 player games? Or is it simply understood that B2 acts as the start for 4 player games? I'll take it you didn't play any of these in the arcade huh?
Most 4 player games don't have start buttons because it really eats up the inputs. You insert your coin and pressing any button for the player typically starts the game. Stone Ball — Weird prehistoric sports game that has fun graphics, but just okay gameplay. Sunset Riders — This game is hilarious, gorgeous, and a blast with 4 players, right up there with other Konami 4 player classics like Simpsons and Ninja Turtles.
Tank Force — Kind of like 4 player "Wizard of Wor" with fast tanks and okay graphics from Namco in It runs in dual-screen, so it looks best on a widescreen display or on two screens.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — One of the best 4 player titles ever, with excellent music, graphics, and gameplay. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Turtles in Time — This one added more combat tricks and graphical effects, but I still prefer the original.
Both games are absolute classics, though. Tournament Cyberball — I remember playing this massive dual-screen cabinet a few times. Track and Field — Not simultaneous 4 player play, but an amazing party game for 4 players. There is nothing like crazily bashing the buttons for making good use of your arcade controls.
Trog — Graphics are interesting, but gameplay looks pretty ho-hum. Violent Storm — Massive sprites and over the top action makes this one a decent brawler. Wild West C. WWF Wrestlefest — We had a lot of fun with this one back in the day. X-Men — I have both the 4 player and the 6 player versions in my list. The 6 player one is cool because of the dual-screen presentation, with the wider screen allowing for more room to battle and overall fun, but any version of X-Men is great.
I'm attaching the XML files. The 3 player one has all the 3 and 4 player games and the 4 player one only has the 4 player games because, if you have 4 players, they can't all play the 3 player games. Great suggestion!
I only had the first one in my list and was not able to get 4 players working. I don't know if it's an emulation issue because it is set to 4 players in the service menu. I'm running MAME. I was able to play three of the other games in the series with 4 players and I'll definitely add them to the lists. Knights of Valour kov. Ok I looked into this, and found a post indicating the 4 player was fixed in.
Also check knights of valor 2 plus, which is again the same game with more characters. Since there is no english version anyway maybe thats the better version to put on your list. Existing user? Like say Final Fight etc. Wouldn't mind a list! If you think typing 'make' is hard, forget coding. If you can't figure out the commands to DC-Tool, forget coding. It will bring up all the 4 player mame games and you can look at the file sizes and decide here is a link for the search I did. Post by HyperG » Sun May 19, am Thanks, didn't think for the world to use the right keywords. Post by flabbyfox » Sun May 19, pm This below list are the four player roms listed on the site aboves search I just thougtht Id make a list that u can see all at once.
Stupid RAM problems. Sunset Riders I wish worked also but it doesn't, same problem like I said before. And i'm pretty sure there are more 4 player games, but then again most of them I'm sure are too big to run on the dreamcast.
Because what if you made it so you used the 2 player clones for those games, would that work??? My Gallery. Last edited by flabbyfox on Mon May 20, pm, edited 2 times in total. Post by HyperG » Mon May 20, am 2 player games are fun!!
But not as fun as 4 player. If anybody wants to list 2 player games, go ahead. Then again I can look myself.
